Why we’re involved in Ales for ALS…

You might know it as Lou Gehrig’s disease, however to those in the medical community and currently battling, it’s known as ALS or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. This disease has roughly 5,000 new diagnoses in the United States each year, where most that are diagnosed have roughly 2-5 years on average to live. Right now, there is no known cure for ALS, & we aim to help make that a thing of the past as soon as possible.

Loftus Ranches and Bale Breaker Brewing Co. with help from Hopunion Hops have been actively organizing and promoting Ales for ALS for 5 years to boost research for a cure. So far over $1 Million have been raised to fund that very important research. Which by-in-large is performed by the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI), the world’s leading ALS research organization.

What we’re doing…

We, Kinetic Brewing Co., along with over 100 more breweries throughout the US have joined the effort proudly and are brewing an IPA we’ve called Ice Bucket that gives $1 from every sale toward this endeavor. Every beer being produced for the cause uses the same Hop Blend. It signifies our unity but also the unique challenge we’re partnering against. While every beer will have a similarity in the Hop Blend, Ice Bucket will stand on it’s own in the market as an independent voice in unison with the others to say no to the grip ALS has on society. 5,000 new diagnoses is 5,000 too many, & we hope you’ll visit a participating brewery near you and show your support to help reduce that number to ZERO.
