Kinetic Brewing Company has an opening for an experienced part-time Line Cook who is passionate about good food, career minded, and looking to establish a long term working relationship.
Job Descriptions & Duties
- Prepares all foods in accordance to standard recipes as specified by the Head Chef.
- Checks and controls the proper storage of product and portion control, e.g., especially high cost meat and fish items.
- Keeps all refrigeration, storage, and working areas in clean, working condition to comply with health department regulations.
- Ensures all equipment in working areas is clean and in proper working condition.
- A passion and desire to learn about craft beer and its applications in the culinary arts.
- Ensure quality, consistency, and portion standards are met with regard to plate presentations.
- Keeps floors dry and clean to avoid slip/fall accidents.
- Performs other duties as requested, such as, moving supplies and equipment, cleaning up spills, etc.
Qualifications
- Passionate about good food
- At least 2 years of related culinary experience in a full service, high volume restaurant
- Strong knowledge of food product and cooking methods
- Proficient in basic knife skills
- Basic mathematical skills necessary to understand recipes, measurements, requisition amounts and portion sizes
- Experience working all stations including prep, sauté, and flat top
- Must possess an excellent work ethic, a reliable attendance & on time record, strong attention to detail, and be capable of consistently performing quality work while working quickly in an environment that is often full of distraction
- Must possess a valid food handler’s card

- Ability to stand and work continuously in confined spaces
- Bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and performing repetitive motions
- Lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Moving large quantities of food products with hand trucks, & other moving equipment
- Ability to work effectively in a kitchen environment with fluctuations in temperature and conditions (heat, cold, humidity) for an extended period of time
